HOW TO APPLY

There is no representation in South Africa.
Visas can be obtained at the French or Benin consulates.
The visa requirements are as per the General Schengen visa requirements listed below.

WHAT TO SUBMIT

• Clearly and completely filled in and signed Common Schengen application form [available from consular websites or offices].
• Permanent SA passport.
• Most Schengen countries no longer accept temporary SA passports for entry.
• Two recent passport size colour photographs.
• Round trip air ticket and itinerary with dates and flight numbers specifying entry and exit from Schengen states.
• Proof of sufficient funds for duration of stay.
• Travel health/accident insurance.
• Accommodation -confirmed hotel reservation may be requested.
• An official business letter from a company in a Schengen state and from employer stating purpose of visit.
