HOW TO APPLY

Please note that the internal situation in Somalia is very volatile and that visits to Somalia are not recommended.
There is no internationally recognized government in Somalia.
Normally visas are issued to SA passport holders on arrival in Lusaka and in Nairobi.
South Africans are issued visas within 24 hours of application if the applicant’s passport forms and photos are submitted to the embassy.
Visas are not mailed to the applicant and the embassy has no facsimile machine.

WHERE TO APPLY

South African travellers need to contact the SA representative for Somalia based in Ethiopia.
The office hours are Monday to Friday from 8am-5pm and the consular hours are Monday to Friday from 8am-12pm.
