HOW TO APPLY

Visas are required by SA Passport holders.
Visas can be applied for through the French consulate.
Only a thirty day visa will be issued.
The visa requirements are as per the General Schengen visa requirements listed below.

WHAT TO SUBMIT

  • Clearly and completely filed in and signed Common Schengen application form [available from consular websites or offices].
  • Permanent SA passport.
  • Most Schengen countries no longer accept temporary SA passports for entry.
  • Two recent passport size colour photographs.
  • Round trip air ticket and itinerary with dates and flight numbers specifying entry and exit from Schengen states.
  • Proof of sufficient funds for duration of stay.
  • Travel health/accident insurance.
  • Accommodation -confirmed hotel reservation may be requested.
  • An official business letter from a company in a Schengen state and from employer stating purpose of visit.
